A message from Little George…
I want to tell you about a young man who’s name is Garrett Norman. a man who is autistic and is confined to a wheelchair.
Garret is my Number one Fan of The Little George band. We meet him about a year and a half ago, when his dad brought him inside to watch us play at Harrys in Pismo . His comments were only “they sound great dad! I like his voice”… and since then he hasn’t missed a Saturday Day performance.
He liked the band so much that when they were at a Local Kmart store that was closing, he saw a GIANT ELECTRIC GUITAR hanging from the ceiling and told his Dad, ” I want that for my friend Little George, please give it to him. ” They decorated it and presented it to us. I have never been so moved and emotionally grateful and humbled.
Since that time, they’ve moved away to Fresno, but whenever we are back in Pismo… his father, James Norman, proudly drives him to see us…
I never realized that my creating this band has had so much impact to some people I have met along the way… I truly didn’t fully understand how what we do brings so much joy to people that we perform for.
Garrett Norman, It’s because of people like you that we do what we do!
